On the morning of Sasthi in 1932, Pankaj Mallik, Banikumar, Vaidyanath Bhattacharya, Harishchandra Bani, Birendra Krishna and a few other eminent persons decided to broadcast the rehearsal episode of Mahisasurmardini on the radio.

Even though the recording system was not introduced in the studio; all the programs were broadcast live.

That Mahisasurmardini of the studio became so popular that the Akashvani authorities were excited and decided to re-introduce Mahisasurmardini as Chandipath in the following year, 1933.

Year after year, the arrival of Mahishasurmardini at the dawn of Mahalaya thrills the minds of Bengali.

But the current is unstoppable, so one day a stream of unknown unstoppable current began to flow in the office of Akashvani.

Hemant Kumar, Shailen Mukherjee, Uttam Kumar, Lata Mangeshkar, Basanta Chowdhury and many more artists were present.

As expected, Birendra Bhadra was dropped out from Chandipath as usual.

Suddenly, there was a break in the history of so many years.

In that year, many people thought that the holy dawn of Mahalaya was despoiled this time, so danger is forthcoming.

Forgetting all the sorrows and pains, Birendra Babu also continued his own work.

He spent his days as a commentator on the Mahabharata in the midst of an extreme financial crisis.

He didnt get anything in his whole life except a few shawls and some slips.

At the beginning of his career Birendra Babu witnessed the rise of the world of radio, and he also saw people moving away from the web of radio and into the world of TV.
